Interaction Design

What is it?

The Interaction Design theme addresses issues that are wider than those for mainstream software and systems development. In today's society information technology is everywhere - ubiquitous computing as it is known. This theme provides a platform for researchers (both academically and commercially based) in Europe and India to address wider issues than 'traditional usability'.

What activities are happening?

In October 2003 we plan to provide a one day workshop on the theme of the future for Human Centred Computing - implications for India, in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Holi- Indian Festival of Colour

A rather bad example of interaction design!

The aims will be to:

  1. Examining where the field of HCI (understood in its most general sense) is headed,

  2. Provide a "prospective" view, looking at the future...and also hopefully instigating certain activities in India

  3. Identifying issues this raises for companies in India, and for educational institutions.

Visit the activities section for more details

Who is involved?

The HCI Curriculum theme is being led by Liam Bannon in Europe and by Manu Sharma and Anant Bhaskar Garg in India.
