Culture and HCI

What is it?

In this theme we address the different requirements of users from different cultures and countries. How do we localise systems for particular markets? How can we provide IT services to combat the digital divide and combat social exclusion?
In particular what are the specific needs of Indian users and how do these differ from European and North American users? What differing requirements are there within India - both in regional and wider demographic contexts?
These are the issues that we will work on within the Culture and HCI theme.
